Choosing a promotional pen is important because it reflects directly upon who you are and what you value.
The first goal is to offer a pen that your clients want to take and use! They won't pick boring or cheap-looking pens. If it's going to be their daily pen, it has to:
- Buy a pen that writes, the first time - every time! No skipping or other difficulties in getting the ink to flow. Once a pen fails to write, it is IMMEDIATELY DISCARDED. This reflects negatively on your firm. You simply don't want that.
- Be visible! Most gift pens are lost within the first week, so pick a bright barrel color so it can be easily found in a dark corner or purse.
- Look upscale or fun! Choose barrel colors that are cheerful. They subtly lift the mood of the user.
- Don't block your advertising message! — if you want your pen advertising to actually have an impact on the user, be sure the imprint location is NOT covered by the hand of the user. That means the imprint must be on top of the barrel, on the clip, or on the side of the barrel, near the top.
